Thales

Thales was from Miletus, a Greek colony on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Asia Minor. The thinker was born in Myelitas in 624 BC and died in 546 BC. It also has the distinction of being the world's first geometry scientist. It also offers the concept of 365 days of the year. He is also credited with the first indication of the size of the sun and the moon. He was the first philosopher in the world to explain the creation of the universe in a scientific way. For the first time, he applied the principles of geometry to practical problems. He also had access to algebra. He established the first scientific center of Greek philosophy.

Pythagoras

He was a Greek philosopher who was born in 570 BC and died in 495 BC. He was primarily a philosopher, mathematician and scientist but he became more famous as a mathematician. He moved from the Greek island of Samos to a small, sparsely populated city in southern Italy. Historians attribute his migration from Samos to his ideological differences with the people there. He founded a movement with the aim of introducing religious, political and philosophical ideas to the people. This movement is known as "Pythagoras". Historians agree on Pythagoras. That he was accustomed to do more in-depth research than any other philosopher and did not leave China until he had succeeded.

Socrates

He was born in Athens, Greece, in 470 BC, in a stonemason's house. His father was involved in the stone-carving profession until his death. He initially worked with his father as a stonemason, then in the army. He was recruited, his heart was full from here, so he kept knowledge and grace as his covering and bed till his death. Socrates was a philosopher from the East and the West who lived to this day as an undisputed figure in every country, nation, race, creed and religion and a universal figure who sacrificed his life for the cause of truth. Socrates was a man of high moral character, a righteous man and a just teacher. Due to constant reflection, in the latter part of his life, he denied the existence of gods, for which he was sentenced to death by a court in Athens in 399 BC. According to tradition, he was to commit suicide by drinking a cup of poison called "Poison of Ham Lock".

Plato

He was born in 460 BC to a prominent family in Athens. As a young man he met the philosopher Socrates, who became his friend and leader. Was a teacher. In 387 BC, he founded the Academy of Sciences in Athens. He then spent the remaining forty years of his life in Athens teaching and learning. Historians say of the "academy" he founded that people benefited from it for 900 years. Even Aristotle benefited from this academy. The academy also has the distinction of being the first educational institution in the Western world. He laid the foundation of Western philosophy, science and mathematics from the same school. He continued to teach and write philosophy.

Hippocrates

He was a medical expert and is also called the ancestor of doctors. He became famous for his philosophy of medicine. Historians also call him a scientist of medicine. He was born in 460 BC in the Greek city of Kos. He spent sixteen years acquiring knowledge and spent the rest of his life writing. Hippocrates is credited with the regular promotion of medicine. His greatest historical achievement has been the introduction of scientific therapies instead of the traditional methods of treatment from ancient times, and perhaps for this reason he has been given the title of "Father of Medicine". Thanks to the services and efforts of eminent physicians such as Galen and Ibn Sina who came later, Greek medicine developed remarkably.

Aristotle

He was born in 384 BC in the northern Greek city of Stagra. His father was a royal physician. He received his early education from his father, but when his father died at the age of ten, he became a relative of his father. At the age of eighteen he entered Plato's academy and remained there until the age of 37. After that he founded his own academy called Lyceum. Alexander the Great was also a student of Aristotle. Was Alexander the Great studied under Aristotle for almost three years. Aristotle excelled in medicine, zoology, mathematics, anatomy, politics, physics, and ethics, so he is also called the scientist of his day, because until Newton came to earth, Aristotle taught the basic principles of physics.
